The German PaK 38, or Panzerabwehrkanone 38, was an anti-tank gun used by the German military during World War II. Introduced in the late 1930s, the PaK 38 was designed to provide infantry with a portable and effective means of countering armored vehicles. It featured a 50mm caliber gun with good penetration capabilities for its time. The PaK 38 was relatively lightweight and maneuverable, making it suitable for both defensive and offensive anti-tank roles. Widely used in the early years of the war, it eventually faced challenges against more heavily armored tanks as the conflict progressed. Despite its limitations, the PaK 38 served as an important component of German anti-tank defenses during the early stages of World War II.
