Panther
 
The German Panther tank, officially designated as the Panzerkampfwagen V Panther, was one of the most formidable tanks used by Nazi Germany during World War II. Introduced in 1943, it was designed to counter the Soviet T-34 and featured a powerful 75mm KwK 42 L/70 gun, excellent frontal armor, and good mobility.
The Panther played a significant role on both the Eastern and Western Fronts. Its combination of firepower, armor, and speed made it effective against both enemy tanks and infantry. Notable engagements involving the Panther included the Battle of Kursk and the Ardennes Offensive (Battle of the Bulge).
 
Despite its strengths, the Panther had reliability issues, particularly with its transmission and final drive, and its production was complex and costly. Nevertheless, the Panther was a highly respected tank, contributing significantly to German armored warfare tactics during the later stages of the war. Its design influenced post-war tank development and it remains one of the iconic tanks of World War II.
