What Next Questionnaire...The Results are in!

A huge thank you to everyone who voted on our Facebook poll about what should come next. I can’t tell you have useful it is to get requests on the kind of thing you would like to see. It can be overwhelming trying to create models of everything form the second world war all at once (mainly due to my over excitement of creating and playing with new models!). It really helps to know both what you would like to see and how you would like to buy them (like box sets, units, individually, subscriptions…

The favourite with 32% was to produce some ‘scenarios in a box’ which we are working hard on. The first of these is Pegasus Bridge. We have almost finished with the glider design and then onto the bridge. Our plan is to produce them as two boxes, one for the troops and another for key ‘scenery’ etc. The main reason for that is that the scenery elements can be expensive. As well as the models, both boxes will come with a set of scenario rules and a table layout recommendation (this is not compulsory but should help you recreate the look and feel of the battle). I will also include a historic brief of what happened so you can run your game however you like.

On our D-Day theme I also love some of the stories around US ‘Easy Company’ and there are a couple of great scenarios here.

If you have recommendations of great battles that might suit this scale of gaming, please do let me know.

Joint Second were the requests for New nationalities and the completed detailed rules. While I have published the ‘enhanced’ simple rules, including army lists and cards, I have yet to format the detailed rules. This feels like a ‘holiday job’ so I will do my very best to get this completed by September…ready for publication!

Collection of the incoming US models, colours will vary for actual models which are made of a bespoke 'military green'

In terms of the new nationalities, I am pleased to say we have received the US infantry and heavy weapons, and they will appear in our store soon. The Sherman M4 and Fireflies are on their way and should be with us by the end of August (hopefully). I have also turned my thoughts to finishing off the US army so that it enjoyed the range of units that the Brits and Germans do. I completed first drafts of the M5 Halftrack last night and the Priest motorised artillery. I will also be adding artillery, AT guns and the P-47 Thunderbolt! I have also got the M10 Tank destroyers ready to order from our main supplier.
