As a young man I loved all things table top battles. From fantasy battles of wizards and dragons, to the historic re-enactments of world war two and the Napoleonic wars. I have to confess that as I grew up, many other things took my time, attention and money away from gaming while I focused on career and family. When I wanted to return to wargaming, it all was a bit too much. I was always a 'gamer' not a modeler. I didn't have the skill or patience to paint perfect models, or scenery. I wasn't interested in having the most lifelike tanks or creating accurate orc skin with 13 layers of paint. So when I returned to wargaming, I was looking for a user friendly, cost effective way to get an army on the battlefield ASAP!

In my search for a solution I came across some amazing modellers who were creating micro armies out of Lego style bricks. These modelling genius's and have created scale models of world war two machines and soldiers that struck me as being perfect for wargaming. So initially I ordered some of these models and I had an army of miniatures with no glue or paint involved!

When my first army arrived, my 9 year old daughter loved helping me build them and really wanted to see how the game worked. This got me thinking. I wanted to create a super simple version of the rules so that she could enjoy playing with the models she had helped build. I looked at an array of existing systems, considered the scale of the miniatures and created what i hope is a simple user friendly, entry level set of rules. There are some advanced rules too, but the focus for me was quick, fun battles for generals of all ages.
